PRX Energy is presenting to a group of higher education institutions regarding the use of distributed generation and battery storage to improve campus reliability and lower demand costs. The conference is being held at Franklin College - a member of PRX's natural gas aggregation in Indiana. The group also includes Taylor University, University of Indianapolis, Earlham College, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and the 31 campus Ivy Tech Community College system.
PRX and PowerSecure are working together to develop distributed generation opportunities to lower demand charges for PRX Energy clients. Backup generation projects can be self funded or financed through the savings the projects create. The value proposition includes support for Demand Response commitments, reduction in capacity obligations and improved resiliency and reliability.
PRX met with 5 regaional governments, the regional water authority and local school district system to present options and value propositions for incorporating solar into their procurement strategy. PRX was invited to present the approach used successfully to support Penn State Univ. with its recent PPA.
PRX, in support of a large university client, has completed and released an extensive RFP for the purchase of solar energy from a utility scale projected located in the PJM. Expected savings against the university's projected baseline electricity costs total over $2 million NPV for the term of a 20 year PPA.
PRX Energy concluded its 4th year of operations posting its fourth year of double digit growth and has a strong business pipeline with over 50% of revenues extending into FY 2020.
